ANNUAL UMPAWAUG SCHOOLHOUSE OPEN HOUSE
This Sunday, November 3rd from 1 PM - 4 PM!
Come tour Redding’s only surviving one-room brick schoolhouse, a national historic landmark built circa 1789. This annual event is open to the public, donations greatly appreciated. The schoolhouse is located on Umpawaug Road south of the West Redding firehouse, near the intersection of Umpawaug and Marchant Roads.
REVOLUTIONARY ENCAMPMENT AT PUTNAM MEMORIAL STATE PARK
This Saturday, November 2nd there will be a Revolutionary Encampment at Putnam Park from 10 AM - 4 PM!
This is the 246th anniversary of the Continental Army winter quarters in Redding. There will be artillery demonstrations, a battlefield skirmish, children’s drill, camp life talks, soldiers, artisans, and book signings.

ANNOUNCING THE 1714 GUILD
The Redding Historical Society wishes to announce the formation of the 1714 Guild, a group representing owners of homes and structures built before 1900.

LONETOWN FARM MUSEUM HOLIDAY OPEN HOUSE
The newly-renovated Lonetown Farm Museum was available for an open house on December 3rd, 2023. It will be open on select dates during the 2023 Spring season to be announced.
THE UMPAWAUG SCHOOL OPEN HOUSE WAS A GREAT SUCCESS!
The Redding Historical Society held a well-attended and educational open house on November 5th, 2023 featuring the historic one-room Umpawaug Schoolhouse.
